Open Mic (2016) is my senior capstone film project. It was directed by Aedan Coughlin, produced by Jack Gentry, and I was the Director of Photography. When we were discussing ideas for our senior documentary, stand-up comedy was brought up and eventually the idea came around to creating a fake comedian who would perform on-stage at a local open mic night. We three had high hopes for this film because it was going to largely be satirical, but because of some miscommunication with the emcee and the comedy club that night it didn't turn out as we had hoped. The film only needs a few more edits before it can be officially done but right now it's still technically in post-production.
